Clear and Effective signage is crucially important in order to navigate the 600 acres that is home to the Rathfinny Wine Estate. The quality of the signage needs to match the high quality of the brand. The craftsmanship and durability of the signage is key given the scale of the project and the harsh coastal environment. The Rathfinny Wine Estate is located three miles from the sea on the south-facing slopes of South Downs in East Sussex. The various crafted signage elements unobtrusively mark the landscape and bring together the identity of the Estate.
Standard8 produced and installed the designs. The brand identity has been masterfully created by design agency Aloof. Inkmill CNC worked with Standard8 to produce the high quality and long lasting signage.
7 life size directional finger posts stand proud in the landscape. Text is CNC routed into the solid oak direction prongs and finished by hand. A compressed crest is created by a 45-degree top cut and hand painted in red.
A total of 30 oak signposts are fixed into the ground. Bespoke way finding text is CNC routed into the European Oak posts.
Large destination signs are located at various strategic locations in the grounds and highway verges. Aluminium sheet is CNC routed and given a robust powder coated finish.
The black acrylic lettering has been laser cut and is securely bonded to the surface of the signs.
